SETTING THE DATE
Call the Secretary to verify that your desired date & time is available.
Wait to speak to a priest before the date is OFFICIALLY SET.
Send in $50.00 deposit to reserve your date. 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO BE GIVEN TO THE PRIEST
Baptism Certificate for the Groom.      Baptism Certificate for the Bride.
Birth Certificate for the Groom if non-Catholic.      Birth Certificate for the Bride if non-Catholic.
Two Letters of Free Status for the Groom if non-Catholic.      Two Letters of Free Status for the Bride if non-Catholic.
Annulment & Divorce Decree if either the Groom or Bride has been married before.
Certificate from Marriage Preparation Program. 
Marriage License from City or Town (must get this within 90 days before your wedding day).


MEETING WITH THE PRIEST FOR THE PREMARITAL INVESTIGATION

The priest will interview the two of you and discuss the sacredness of Marriage. 
        He will also let you know what other Documents you may need.

 

PLANNING THE WEDDING CEREMONY WITH OUR PRIEST, WEDDING COORDINATOR AND MUSICIANS & VOCALISTS
Choose the Readings and Prayers for your Ceremony and choose someone to read.
Choose the Music with our Musician (this should be done as soon as possible).
Set the Date and Time for the Wedding Rehearsal.  Usually held one or two days before the Ceremony.
Discuss the Flowers, Flower Girl, Photographer, Aisle Runner, Unity Candle, etc. with our Wedding Coordinator.
Decide before the Rehearsal, how you want your wedding party to process down the aisle.
 


FEES AND GRATUITIES

Most Fees should be paid and delivered to the Rectory before your wedding unless otherwise specified. 
Fees and stipends are established by the parish and the diocese. 

Church:                                   $50.00   non-refundable deposit to reserve the date for your wedding
                                            plus  $150.00   Payable to St. Francis de Sales Church (one month before the wedding)
Marriage Coordinator:         $50.00   Payable to: Carolyn McDonough (upon your first meeting with her)
Musician / Vocalist:               Fees will vary by musician/vocalist usually $100 - $200 depending on your selections.  .  

Altar Servers:                         $20.00 each.   At your request will we provide Altar Servers for your Ceremony
                                                                                  unless you request someone you know.
                                                                                  The Best Man gives this to the Altar Server before the Mass.
Priest:                                     A gratuity for the priest is at your discretion (usually given to him at the Wedding Rehearsal)
