Service Hours Opportunities


 What are the service requirements for Confirmation Candidates?

Each candidate must complete 6 hours of in-parish service and 6 hours of community service.

For each service opportunity (in and out of parish), candidates must complete a "Service Form" and return
it to Karen Paul in the Religious Education Office. Click on this link to obtain a copy of the Service Form.

When the form is submitted, it will be recorded in the database and then filed in a binder.  All service forms
will be reviewed in January, and a report will be sent to each candidate via e-mail informing the candidates
of how many hours have been completed.

 

How will candidates know when service hours are available?

Service hours will be announced 3 ways as they become available: 
1.  Via e-mail  
2.  Posted on this website  
3.  Posted in our bulletin, which is available at Mass every weekend.

 

Can candidates submit service hours not offered by the parish?

Any service hours arranged by candidates MUST be presented to the Service Coordinator (Kristen Soucie)
and approved BEFORE they are performed.  The Volunteer Coordinator's contact information MUST be
included for verification purposes.
