First Reconciliation Procedures   Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday, December 13th  11:00am-12:15pm                 Click here for a printable version of these Procedures for Reconciliation     Procedure for the   Sacrament of Reconciliation   1.  We will have a prayer service to   help you think about what you   want to say.    This is your Examination of Conscience.     2.  Go to the priest; he will be   there waiting for you.     3.  Make the sign of the cross.     4.  Tell the priest this is your   First Reconciliation.     5.  Tell the priest the things you’ve   done wrong – present him with   your rock & purple paper.   This is your Confession.     6.  The priest will tell you how   much Jesus loves you and give   you something to say or do.   When you are finished,   be sure to do this.   This is your Penance.     7.  Say the Act of Contrition to show   you are sorry.     8.  The priest will put his hand over   your head and say a prayer   and your sins are forgiven.   This is called Absolution.   Now you have reconciled with   God and our community!     9.  Say, “Amen” after his prayer   and go to a pew to say your Penance.
